Dahl,

I created a new web directory for you and put your new slinky clips in
it.  Later, we'll transfer all your slinky stuff to it.  Here's how to
access your clips:

As you know, Wednesday's homework is to solve the falling leaf problem.
In order to help you in checking your work before Wednesday, I've put an
animated version of the solution on the web.  You can access it by going
to this week's assignments.  You'll only be able to run the java
animation from Physics Lab 2.  I am also happy to look over your
solution if you bring it by Tuesday afternoon.  My goal (and I hope
yours) is for your solution to be correct by the beginning of class
Wednesday, since some of Wednesday's class will be based on that
solution.

Dahl,

I replaced the non-functioning slinky clips with ones that work.

OK, here's the deal on the PH211 final.  The free-response portion of
your E&M AP test will substitute for an in-class exam.  (We have
permission from ETS to do this.)  Therefore, if you take the AP test and
complete the requirements as per the sheet I distributed this morning,
your obligation on exam day will be to show up to turn in your textbooks
and fill out a course evaluation.  For those who are going to Vienna, be
sure to bring your excused absence form for me to sign.  You'll do the
course evaluation before  you leave.

If you have any concerns about using your AP test as an exam substitute,
please let me know.

Dahl,

My first thought would be to label the center of the pulse.  Thanks for
changing your links so quickly.

Dahl and Zach,

Be sure to check with me at tutorial tonight (6-7 PM but closer to 7 is
better) about your status for the final exam.  (Don't send email.  The 4th
floor network is down.)

Dahl,

Great to hear from you and glad you're enjoying yourself!  Today, I had work
service students move your stuff from your dorm room to Lab 3.  We may have
an auction if we need some money for pizza for work service students.  (just
kidding)

I've posted your PH211 exam grades.  Go to the Physcal web site and
replace index.htm in the URL with exam.htm.  Let me know if you find
mistakes to your disadvantage.

I won't have semester grades until next week.  If you have internet
access at home, you'll be able to look up your semester grade next
Wednesday or sooner by replacing index.htm with semester.htm

I'm not positive I'll have lab books ready tomorrow.  If not, I'll mail
you your book if you send me your home address.

You've been a great class.  Have a good summer!

Dahl,

Received your last message.  Sounds like you had a great time and
learned a lot.  If you're at school on Sunday, stop by in the afternoon.
I expect to be doing some computer maintenance on the physics floor.

Dahl,

We haven't auctioned off your refrigerator yet.  Actually, we moved it into
the cubbyhole behind Dr. Bennett's desk today so he can keep his lunch cool.
I'll look forward to seeing you whenever you can come, but I hope you can
come next week.

I finished calculating grades tonight.  You earned A- for both the 2nd
quarter and the semester!
